Senior Accountant ( Aged early thirties)
Location: Nairobi
Our client, a multinational manufacturer of Industrial packaging products is seeking to recruit a Senior Accountant. Our client’s core business is focused on delivering innovative value added industrial packaging solutions that enable customers save millions on material and labour.
We are specifically looking for a business savvy CPA (K) or ACCA qualified candidate with experience in the manufacturing industry and in their early thirties. The ideal candidate will be expected to look beyond numbers by providing insight and relating numbers with Business to add value to the business as well as;
Key Responsibilities:
- Preparation of Profit & Loss Account/ Balance Sheet/ Cash Flow as well as closure of accounts.
- Product costing and analysis of variances
- Handle fixed assets accounting and custodianship
- Deal with statutory and internal auditors as well as handle all VAT related matters
- Manage current assets, receivables and inventory
- Effective management of accounts as per IFRS
Qualifications/ Skills
- CPA (K)/ ACCA
- Minimum 4- 10 years hands on experience in the manufacturing sector.
- Experience in any established accounting package or ERP packages is preferred
- Outstanding communication skills both verbal and written.
- Hands on Experience in Accounts Payables, Accounts Receivables and closing of Books of Accounts.
- Sharp mind with strong analytical skills and planning knowledge
- Should be a good Team player able to motivate Teams to exceed expectations.
