Accounts Secretary Job Vacancy in Nairobi Kenya - Financial Services Firm

Position: Accounts Secretary
Location: Nairobi
Our client, a leading financial services firm specializing in audit, tax, Business Process Outsourcing and Financial Consultancy wishes to recruit an Accounts Secretary.

The successful candidate will be expected to support the accounting department operations.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • General Administration of the BPO department
  • Typing, editing, and printing of documents including final accounts
  • Ensuring all photocopying, binding and distribution of documents to clients
  • Following up of BPO records from clients
  • Liaising with the Courier services for deliveries of documents
  • Preparation of engagement letters/ proposals
  • Posting fee notes using accounting package (Tally) and ensuring the are dispatched to clients
  • Ensuring effective filing all BPO documents
  • Ensuring payment of VAT, PAYE, NHIF and NSSF for clients is upto date and done according to deadlines.
  • Taking departmental minutes in meetings
  • Maintaining all departmental training materials and other necessary documents
  • Carrying out any other duty as may be assigned by the management
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance or CPA qualifications
  • Proven Account Management skills required
  • At least 1 year experience in a similar role
  • Extremely detail oriented
  • Handles stressful situations and deadline pressures well
  • Plans and carries out responsibilities with minimal direction
  • Must have basic computer skills i.e MS Word and MS Excel.
  • Positive and pleasant personality.
