Job Requirements:
- A person is qualified for appointment as a member of the Salaries and Remuneration Commission if the person:-
- holds a degree from a university recognized in Kenya;
- has knowledge and at least ten years’ experience in either –
- finance and administration;
- public management;
- economics;
- human resource management; or
- labour laws.
- Meets the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution;
- has had a distinguished career in their respective fields, and
- should be someone who understands the historic needs of the Judiciary and capable of representing the interests of the Judicial Service Commission and the Judiciary.
A person is not qualified for appointment as a member of the Salaries Remuneration Commission if the person:-
- is a member of the Judicial Service Commission;
- is a member of the Judiciary;
- is an undischarged bankrupt; or
- has been removed from office for contravening the provisions of the Constitution or any other law.
